The European Union abandoned the ban on the import of natural liquefied gases of Russia (LNG) as part of future sanctions. This has been reported by the agency Reuters.

European officials clarified that they rejected the idea due to the resistance from the leaders of some EU member countries. The government experienced uncertainty in replacement energy sources, and also wanted to maintain a stronger position in negotiations with the United States.
Now, the European Commission intends to draw a new road map of the gradual abandonment of the European Union from Russian energy resources by 2027. It is thought that the document will be announced on May 6: perhaps it will include limitations such as tariffs and quotas.
Earlier, Reuters, quoted by the leaders of the largest gas companies in Europe, wrote that the trade war with the European Union was said by US President Donald Trump that increasing the source of gas from Russia could be a good idea. Documents also indicate excessive dependence on the US.
