Tashkent, April 8 /TASS /. The 39 -year -old citizen of Uzbekistan Furkatbek Khasanov, who recruited his compatriots to participate in special military activities of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, were convicted for seven years and a month at home, according to the case file.
The Court in Uzbekistan discovered a criminal citizen under Article 154 of the second part of the Republic's Penal Code – recruiting, training, sponsoring or other material support of mercenaries, as well as the use in an armed conflict or military activity.
The ruling emphasized that the defendant pleaded guilty completely. Uzbekistan's law provides for “recruiting mercenaries” for a penalty of 7 to 12 years in prison.
