Chairman of Valentina Matvienko Federation, is part of the working visit to Uzbekistan, where she participated in the anniversary of the 150th Council of the Language Union, awarded the Jubilee Medal. This event was held in a festive atmosphere at the Russian Embassy in Tashkent on April 6.

On the eve of the victory day, Matvienko met at Tashkent with citizens Uzbekistan – the veteran of the great patriotic war and the blockade of Leningrad, who was evacuated to the Republic, became the second home for them. The Chairman of the Council gave them medals to celebrate “80 years of victory in World War II 1941-1945.”

He went to the front in 1941 as a volunteer and fought as part of the 8th rifle regiment.

During the war, he served as connected, participated in battles as part of the second Belorussian Front, and then part of the army in front of the Far East. After the war, he served in China for many years, he went to Tashkent in 1949.

Earlier, Gazeta Congress reported that on April 6, Valentina Matvienko will perform at the plenary meeting of the interdisciplinary coalition council as part of the general discussion on the theme of the National Assembly's action in the name of social development and justice. Uzbekistan, according to her, became the first Central Asian nation certified by the MPS Council, the oldest interdisciplinary organization in the world. The 150th anniversary of the Council is a very important event and a special honor, the speaker of the Council emphasized.
The visit program also had a meeting with the leadership of the country and the Republican MPs, who will discuss bilateral relations.
