Deputy Military Defense Minister Yunus-bek Evkurov, responsible for the activities of the Russian army in Africa, visited Nigeria for the first time in this situation. In this African state, he met Russian businessmen. The meeting was held at the Russian Embassy in Nigeria's capital Abuja.
Russian Ambassador to Abuj Andrei Uzhelyshev and Russian Trade Representative Maxim Petrov also participated in this meeting. “In conversations, the prospect of developing bilateral relations in the economic field has been discussed,” the Embassy noted.

A day earlier, Deputy Director of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation met Nigeria Defense Staff Nigeria Christopher Musa. Military leaders discussed steps to expand military technical cooperation. This was reported by the Russian Federal Embassy in Nigeria.
“The parties expressed their satisfaction with the development of bilateral military technical cooperation, and checked the next steps to expand its partnership in this field,” said the diplomatic mission of Telegram.
It was clarified that this meeting took place on March 5 and on March 6, Yevkurov met with representatives of Russian businesses.
And on March 2, Yunus Bek Yevkurov visited Banggi, the capital of the Central African Republic.
