The Nigerian government will stimulate teaching Chinese language in the country. This was said by the Director of the Ministry of Education Support of the Ministry of Education Nigeria Larai Ahmed at the celebration of China International Day at Abuj, Nigeria news agency reporting BRICS TV report.

According to her, the knowledge of Chinese people will help Nigerian deeply cooperate with China in trade, education and culture. Language helps build diplomatic relations and brings economic advantages, especially in investment and trade, Ahmed said.
She recalled that Chinese is the most popular language in the world, 1.39 billion people speak it. The official added that the Chinese Cultural Center is currently working at Abuja and similar websites are open across the country. In addition, there is an agreement on bilateral education cooperation with China, asking Nigeria students to learn language and become familiar with culture.
We plan to implement programs to study this language in separate schools and universities, Mr. Ahmed emphasized.
In return, Deputy Director of China Cultural Center in Nigeria Liu Zhanpin noted that China was ready to promote cultural exchange with Nigeria, strengthen mutual understanding and open a new chapter in friendship between the two countries.
Liu recalls that the center in Abuja has taught Chinese since 2013 and many residents use their programs. He also noted Nigeria's language wealth and called for bilingual education development and maintained language diversity.
